Perfect Care Coordination and Use of the Chain of Survival

From the Hartford Healthcare EMS Monitor: Litchfield County Dispatcher Matt Ludwig received a 911 call from a passerby in the city of Torrington for a 67-year old female that was complaining of chest pain. She soon became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. As the caller was given CPR instructions, Campion Ambulance Service Paramedics Tom Boisvert, Tom Mahoney, and EMT Joshua Magdule arrived on scene with the Torrington Fire Department Lt. Chesanek, and firefighters Aaron Picz, David Munson, and Brian White. The patient was defibrillated, pulses were restored, and the patient was transported to Charlotte Hungerford.
