  • Respond to emergency calls calmly, efficiently and promptly.
  • Administer basic and advanced life support to patients at the scene, en route to the hospital and in a pre-hospital setting in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and standards.
  • Must hold valid Paramedic license for State of Connecticut
  • Must hold valid American Heart Association Healthcare PALS and ACLS certification
  • Must be able to obtain Medical Control from St. Mary’s Hospital, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and/or New Milford Hospital
  • Must hold CEVO-II Ambulance certification, Hazardous Materials Awareness
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a clean driving record and hold a CT driver’s license for two plus years
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
